Adsense in your blog

My previous post on blogging was just an introduction on blogging. Let's dive a little deeper into blogger.com. In this post I'll explain how to insert Google Ads into your blog.


Once you login into your blogger.com account, and select the blog where you want the ads to be placed, you'll see a window with the options like you see in the above screenshot. The Layout tab is one of the most important of them all. Click on Layout and then go to the Page Elements link. The Monetize tab will allow you to place ads in your blog, but there are a few disadvantages. More about Monetize later on.

Once you are in the Page Elements tab, you'll get an option to add a gadget on one side of the page. There are hundreds of gadgets that you can add, like clocks, calenders, calculators, etc. But here we'll concentrate on the gadgets that will assist in inserting ads into the blog. Once you click on "Add a Gadget", you'll be presented with a screen like the one below. (to be continued...)
